Serious question: I prefer to print long supports and THEN the model - but ive been having issues with the Photon slicer.

My process is like this:

1) raise model 10 mm
2) add supports
3) go back to print view - see that the slicer dropped the model closer to the plate (bad bad)

try again.

Anyone else noticed this and/or found a way to defeat it?

heavy weight sheet protector worked. $3 for a life time. I did have one failed print that pilled right off and did zero damage to the film. senertek casting resin.

please guys i have a monocure Flex100 and anycubic photon

what is the best configuration in my slicer ?

they say : 4 X 60 second base layers, 7 - 9 second normal layers with a 4mm lift. Start with 50mn layer height

but in my slicer i havent second base layer oO...

The Photon Slicer doesn't allow me to add support sometimes when I really need it. Is there a workaround? I had to take my last sculpt back into Blender to create the supports. :(

Don't kill me for this, nor poor resin over me and cover me with feathers ? , but I don’t own a photon nor any other 3d printer. I own a CNC.
Reading all the stuff here, is getting me confused should I buy one or not. Some posts let me think yeah do it, others tell me don't touch.

It’s all about what you get for the buck no? Can I go wrong with it?
I just need to print tiny parts for my hobby, accuracy is important but there is a workaround by making adjustments in the slicer.

Here is an example of a part that I want to print. The part was printed for me in a print shop on a form2 in but 4k for a printer no I can't be asked to pay that amount. The ruler is in mm btw.

Is the photon capable of printing this stuff? Yesterday I discovered the Phrozen Shuffle looks more stable on the Z, is that one any good?

Yeah you can clearly tell I’m in the woods here, can someone give me advice here. It will be my own decision so no problem if it does not work out for me, just point me in the right direction please.

First print using ChiTuBox slider and the MakerJuice WaxCast resin.
The "mini thanos" printed well but the supports broke while Printing the remaining layers of the rings, so with this setting I need to enlarge the supports because this resin is very structural weak.
The raft worked perfect on the build plate and the supports worked good on the rings.
