Hey guys and girls,

Just received my 2nd Photon and I noticed some differences compared to the first one.

The first one had the blue acrylics (replaced by red ones already). The 2nd one had the yellow acrylics.
Also the 2nd Photon had lots of z wobble, which I already eliminated by adjusted the lineair guide.
No issues so far.

During the first print I noticed a different behaviour in the in between layer movement. I believe this is due to other firmware, right?

But now onto the major issue.
Almost half the print was without noticable problems, but at a certain moment the Z rod didn't go up anymore, without any errors.
This is a known issue I believe, but is there any way to solve or avoid this?

I keep reading issues on settings and failed prints etc. I have now had this printer for a couple of Months and apart from redoing the levelling after a solution from this group every print just works.

Rarely do I change anything, when I do I guess basing my changes on the colour density of the resin. I am currently building a large FDM printer and the vast majority of the parts have been made on the Photon and the tolerances etc are perfect. Sometimes I think we can overcomplicate things which in turn results in a downward spiral of errors. The photo is of a part for the ptfe tube, 20 mins design 1hr 26m print time and 2m to fit. Its a reliable machine in my production line... oh and I haven't sanded the build plate
