I started 3D printing with the photon and I love it. But I recently got an ender 3 and am having a blast. The quality is much better than I expected, and it’s a lot less mess. If you can swing having both I would highly recommend the ender 3. I just wanted to share in case there were others that haven’t tried FDM yet.

So people keep talking about the flex resin. I've gathered that it makes your prints stronger and flexible. But I notice they always say they've mixed it. Does it not work on it's own? Or is it required to mix with another resin?

The Z axis wobble continues... After receiving a brass screw to replace that took two weeks to get from China that was supposedly going to fix the wobble. No dice. This is getting frustrating.

So I'm working on my second print after unboxing last night. Test file printed perfectly. I came to look in on the progress of this print and noticed a piece has broken away from one of the supports. (I set supports to "light" in hope of conserving resin despite manual recommending medium) - do you think the print will turn out OK, or should I abort and re-slice with heavier supports and start over?

While I'm on the hunt for a printer one thing I see that might be helpful to the members when posting your prints add the 'print time' so we can get a better idea of time tables ..I'd appreciate it anyway..thanks! ..kinda like a new car sometimes you have to ..'put the pedal to the metal' to see what it can do

So having had the printer arrive last weekend I finally got the chance to unbox it and play this weekend. Two prints, and two sheets of FEP later and I'm now out of FEP...

I thought I was doing exactly what I should; I assembled it, I used the Flint Reed levelling method until it felt exactly as described in the video, and both times the models stuck to the FEP and not the build plate. Assuming I knew the cause, I also sanded the build plate between print 1 and print 2.

Print 1 was the test cube, print 2 was a custom model from HeroForge. So far, so bad. At £15 per sheet, I've got a limit on how many sheets of FEP I can go through before the printer goes in the bin. I'm not there yet, but at this rate I'll have spent more on FEP than the printer by next weekend... If I had any more FEP!

Can anyone offer any help on what's causing this? Thanks all!
