Recently I've been having trouble with my prints where supports come out but the model does not. I replaced my FEP and re-leveled the bed but that did not fix the issue, 3.5/20 of the models came out correctly. My settings are all taken from the print spreadsheet for Elegoo (0.02mm, 8 bottom layers, 13s exposure, 70s bottom exposure 6.5s light-off time) . Right now I'm using ChiTuBox to slice and generate most supports. Is it something with my support contact settings?

I'm getting a bit more into fine tuning settings and have been wondering about minimum support lengths. Are there any good rules of thumb on how long supports should be?

I ran into a problem on my latest print. I'm printing some bits for Gloomhaven, and half of them printed fine while the other half separated at their supports. Everything was on a 15° tilt, the missing models looked identical to the ones that were successful. Printed at 0.05, I've been exclusively printing at 0.02 prior to this. 11 second exposure.

What would cause this to happen? Is it that my FEP is due for a cleaning/replacement? Or perhaps under supported and the weight was too much and I just got lucky on the other half? Something else? Exposure time too short for the larger layer size?

I just picked up a Photon and was going through the assembly steps. I'm wondering if this differs from others.

My resin vat already had a screen in it, though it had a couple punctures. I figured this meant that it may have just been a placeholder plastic for shipping, or just a small issue. I went to go replace the film but once I removed the frame from the vat, I found that there are actually small chunks of cured clear green resin in the corners of the screen. Is this normal?

The unit and packaging otherwise seems new (the FEP envelope is sealed for example), but now I'm concerned that it might be used or even defective.
