So I've started printing out some larger models like tanks etc. for wargames. As they're large I've been hollowing them out and it's all been working great but the finished models themselves definitely feel a bit light.

I was thinking about filling the internal cavity up with something like craft sand before I prime and paint, just to give the model a little more heft.

Anybody ever do this? Some obscure reaction going to cause the model to catch fire or something?

For people who print minis, how do you go about getting the last of the supports off the base of the minis?

James Moon very gently pointed out that I'm an idiot (and I am genuinely thankful! LOL), and the support bases in PrusaSlicer are indeed able to be generated with an overhang for your scraper to slide under. I was absolutely doing something wrong. I deleted the message and associated thread I had posted about it, so sorry for cutting short the unrelated conversations we had going in the comments.

Thanks for setting me straight on that, James - if I don't learn at least one thing every day, then it's a wasted day. :)

Ok i have 5 photons and right now 4 of them work great. But the 5th one seems to have an issue and i dont know what it is. It does not matter what i print but when it gets to the second layer the machine will reboot. I have flashed the firmware leveled it multiple times and still does the same thing of any file. What could be the issue?

Prints not sticking to platform.

Got printer last week, unpacked, installer photon slicer, check level, printed test cube. Cube printed good. Loaded mini and sliced, printed good.
Tried different model and chitubox slicer, failed, try again 2nd fail. Loaded mini the worked previously and failed. Went back to photon slicer with small test object and it failed.
Releveled again and another fail.
All my prints are stuck to FEP on fails.

For my first few mini prints I placed hundreds of manual supports in chitubox, which took hours.
I then found out about prusa slicer's autosupports and have been using that for over a month now with great success.
Recently I discovered the validator, and found that prusa slicer was missing quite a few islands.
Today I downloaded zortrax and it appears to have the same problem.
So my question to those who use either for minis: What is your process? Which do you prefer and why?
