Been printing since early August... And wanted to say thanks for all the help along the way and share some results. I've also been dablling with painting! My most recent and most complex print is that tripod, sci-fi gothic walker bike thing (from The Makers Cult on patreon) . It was such a fun experience and rewarding. 3 build plates full of parts. So I just got my photon yesterday and went through the process of setting everything up and leveling etc. I have tried 3 prints now but every time there is nothing on the build plate. One time there was a small circle stuck to the bottom of the resin vat (printing a hero forge mini so probably the base) but nothing more than that. It takes about 3 hours before I can even see if the print is failing or not so I am starting to get a little frustrated. Any tips on what might be happening and how I can get a successful print?

EDIT: wow I did not expect so many replies fast. Thank you all. Hopefully my next post will be a success story!

So I'm having a problem with chitubox slicing my files. It doesn't recognize the first couple of layers so when I try to print the lights doesn't turn on until around 0.1mm layer height. I know that when I placed the supports down they were touching the build plate, I did not accidentally raise the model off the build plate before slicing it. I know this because I tried loading in previously saved files that printed fine and had the same issue. Has this happened to anyone else, and how do I fix it? I tried reinstalling chitubox, I tried lowering the saved stl and slicing it, I tried putting a skate underneath it to fill the gap. None of it has worked. I really don't want to spend another 90 minutes placing supports on this model just to have the same bug occur. Any help would be appreciated.

I forgot to post these prints when I made them, so here they are!

We have two minis from Hero Forge and a VERY scaled down Castle Ravenloft (from the Ravenloft D&D campaign setting). I didn't take any pictures of the castle before painting it...my bad.

All were printed in AnyCubic ECO Orange.

First print! I've made some really snobbish mistakes and the details a bit lower than I'd hoped but that's very definitely user error! There was a weird print line in the middle but you cant really tell after priming. Also I'm going to assume you're support to remove supports before curing in the sun rather than after? Oops.
Had lots of leftover partially cured resin in the vat after, is this likely to be an overexposure issue? I'm using the anycubic translucent resin.

First print, worked. I am blown away by this machine, pretty intuitive and user friendly, especially for the awesome price theyve been going for lately yeah?
Supports pretty well just fell off.
Only issue i noticed which is probably my fault is the white patching on the shoulder, is this uncured resin from not hollowing or?
Thanks guys, you all rock.
Doubt this machine will stop now
