So I had several failed prints with a terrible layering effect, usually I associated this with bad slicing yet there was nothing wrong with model or slice. Then decided to look at the fep after realising that it seemed to be dominant around one part (screen fine).

Seems the fep was a bit worn and scratched from me taking previous fails off and this was causing excessive grip on one part of the model.

So, changed the fep for the first time ever... And got it right first time. No popping sound and working great.

Sooo I'm looking for an e27 uv bulb. I have one but after 2 hours the resin is still soft and not cured (yes it states the wave length). Anybody found one that they can recommend please?

Printed a fan duct on my photon for one of my printers. Someone claimed it wouldn't handle heat very well. I printed PC on that printer in an enclosure and the fan duct did perfect!

Just a wish: Could not all Photon S owner use Anycubics support form and tell them to release the .pws format open source? They will sell more printers if there is software supporting it... I am about to downgrade my printer just to get access to better software...

New newbie problem hit me now, can't seem to slice and create any .photons files. Opening stl files in Photon Workshop and slicing them okay, then save, but the Photon S printer just won't print them. They appear on the screen but when I click on one and press ">" the machine just freezes, can't even go back to the 'print' menu and have to switch the whole thing off. Is this a problem with the printer or with Photon Workshop as it worked the first few times? Even the simplest stls don't work and when I try to open the .photons file again in Workshop the model has vanished. Arrgh! Using good replacement memory sticks already so unlikely to be that. Have downloaded Chitubox but will using that overcome the problem and does it do photons files? Anyone had same problem? Been unable to print anything for 4 days, v frustrating! ☹️ ☹️ ☹️
