I’ve got a Prusa I3 MK3s and looking at getting into SLA printing. I am an engineering student so it would be used for high quality prototyping .

Is the Anycubic Photon worth it? Or should I save for the ‘S’?
How knowledgeable do I need to be at the beginning to get a working print?
What resins do you recommend?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

On my Photon classic (non S but older type) I'm trying to upgrade the firmware from original to 4.2.19 following the instructions. Nothing happens and printer doesn't seem to accept flash update. Any suggestion on how to sort out this issue? I need an anti-aliasing and advanced controls driven by Chitubox software. After update the printer makes bad prints.

So this was actually the first print I've done (technically 2 prints). I said fuck the calibration test and jumped right into it lol. I just want it to be known that if you follow all the guidance within this group, you will have successful prints! Only thing I need to work on is adding supports. This model was damn near perfect but I had to do a small amount of sanding where the supports were.

IT WORKS, sorta....

so 4th times the charm it would seem, was able to successfully print off a dice with a nice bit of iconography instead of the 6, slight problem though, the part seems to have printed with a rather noticeable depression on one side.

hope you will be able to see it in the photo, thoughts on what could have caused this?
