I think my printer may be faulty. I tried everything and still can’t get a single print. All I get are cured support disks stuck at the bottom of the vat. When setting z=zero home position, a message pops up; “z=zero is decided by trigger position.” This isn’t what’s shown in the manual. I tried updating the firmware however, an error message pops up; “unknown file format.” This is a disaster sheesh.

probably not the best/right place to post this but im going to anyway

a couple weeks back i set about trying to make my first printable model. it was a Future cop: LAPD turret from the late 90s game. chose it because i couldnt find any models from this game. turned out... relatively decent:

so naturaly set about next project, x1-alpha from the game.

week and a half down the line and have not got very far, bit off more than i could chew. at the point where im deleting more than im making. i will post my progress. i think i can manage the whole bottom half but the cabin and turrets is proving very tricky for me.

im not giving up but i dont think im getting anywhere and want to print this thing more now then i did when i started.

so, shot in the dark, but is anyone up for a challenge and willing to give it a go. realise this is very time consuming and im asking allot but i want to see this thing rise from the vat. maybe you/others do too.

i got a bit further then this picture, started the side guns but deleted it as it was no good. cabin is where im really stuck. cant seem to get it right. i will include some of my reference pictures.

Hi Guys. Is Anycubic grey the same as Elegoo grey in terms of quality and settings? I always used Elegoo and I love it but I cant find 1L to buy on amazon so Im keen to but Anycubic instead.

More sucess!!! Same model in two print orientations to see what was best (upside down was best, but they both came out great!)

Cleanup was super easy. I used Sculpt and cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner using the green cleaner stuff recommended by Uncle Jesse. Works like a charm!! I rince in IPA after the 15 min clean, clean the supports, and another quick IPA bath. They turned out better than I could imagine!

Hi, could anyone send me please the pre sliced test cube that comes with photon on the usb stick?

I have set everything up, leveled the bed and let it print the test. Unfortunately i have woken up not to cube or any other failure, but the stick reading M_1000
Tried to plug it to computer and salvage it, but there i have found that the reason of the stop is.. it is no longer connectible/readable for the devices? It it recognised, but doesnt load a thing.
