Hi, maybe is a very noob question.

But the color or type of resin influences how much level of detail you get?

I am starting to use my photon and came with both grey and translucent green resins. And I found sharper details when printing in green than with the grey (of course adjusting the exposure time).

Is a thing of I have not the propper settings for the opaque grey resin or always will get a bit less detail using it?

this is now the 4th. time this print fails at almost the same position... Already re-levelled, expanded the bottom layer exposure to 120 seconds and 12 layers, but still the same... As the surface placed on the bottom is also very large it is not to be considered to be printed complicate?

Printed beautifully at 0.05 layer height with anycubic black set at 13s normal exposure.

Hey guys. A good way to make the Photon light proof: Spray it with Mibenco liquid rubber. I did the top and side covers, since they don't have to pe transparent. 3 layers of this spray is opaque enough. And it only costs around 15$ a can which lasts for more than four printers. I also sprayed my 3D printed vat cover with it to make it really light proof. I hope someone finds this information useful :)

Update: Normally you can easily peel off the rubber. But it seems like the solvent attacks the PMMA and it won't come off easily... Nevertheless it looks good :)

My printer is still failing. I moved it to the garage because it’s pretty cold inside. It printed about half the print, then detached and stuck to the FEP. Then I noticed layer lines on the part that did print, like the print bed was shifting as it printed and I looked at it from the top down and you can see the bed did indeed twist and is crooked now. It’s still tight, like I can’t easily twist it back to the proper position without loosening the screws. Any fixes for this issue?

I was wondering if anyone knew of resin is effected by heat? I live in Florida and it is 93F (49% humidity) would it be best to wait to print at night? My printer is in the garage.
