I have a lot of problems printing a file. I have tried several orientations and support options but it is always ripped of the support. Could someone please help me?

I bought a couple of SanDisk 16 GB USB-3 sticks at Walmart today. I put one in my Photon and it wouldn’t power on. I took it out, and then it came on. I put it back in while it was on, and it shut off again. What gives? The one that came with it works fine.

I am trying to hollow a model and then split from top to bottom so I will not need holes. Couple of reasons to do it this way. Surely someone has wanted to do this before me. Thoughts?

I wish my painting skills were better but I'm practicing. I've ordered the Bolt Action Band of Brothers starter kit and I want to print some of my own stuff. Has anyone had the LED array go bad? I ask as one of my printers is continually failing where the supports attach to the part. I can run the exact same print/settings (the same USB to be clear) on another photon and it works fine so the LED is the only thing I can think of. It's not a leveling issue as it adheres to the build plate fine. I also swapped the vat and no difference.

I cranked up the exposure a few seconds (More than the other photons need with same exact file and resin) and it helped but still had some support failures.

I did just change out the LCD in this printer but not seeing any issues there.

Ideas?

Hi,

I have two questions:

1.) What is the maximum capacity of the VAT under consideration of a lowered platform? (Can’t measure now, mine is filled with resin.)

2.) Is there any function/mod for an autopause after a specific amount of printed layers?

Hey everyone. New here and about to invest in a resin printer. Was eyeing the Anycubic Photon (S?) but i've been hearing and seeing Epax is quite a contender. I've done a bit of reading on older posts here and recognise it may be controversial discussing a competitor but at this time, which will yield a smoother print?

To give you a perspective of my intentions. I'm a 3D artist that's interested in printing my own 28mm-30mm miniatures like Warhammer 40k related stuff. The rough price comparison of 120 isn't a major concern. I should mention this will be my first 3D printer and I have 0 experience with any. All I know is I'm looking for quality and want to be able to get miniatures printed with as little layer lines or artifacts that may impact on the quality of the print.

So here's what it looks like with my supports about as good as I can do them. You might notice at the feet, I didn't clean off the support nubs on the underside yet. But I wanted to show, by NOT angling him backward, look how clean the cloak came out, no damage, some very slight artifacts on the bottom of the cloak which you would never see, but I will lightly sand those areas anyway to make sure...and of course no damage to the front side either. Took me a few tries and a few hours learning where to place the supports, I won't lie. But it's kind of fun, like solving a puzzle (well, at least for me)...so these photos are so close, and so high res, if you do see anything that looks like it needs correcting, except for bottom of the boots, I will tell you it's not visible to the naked eye...
