I'm having a lot of bad luck with my prints. I've gotten one successful print of this model in about 7 or 8 attempts, and that was the very first one. In this batch of three, one had the left arm flattened, one had the right arm flattened, and one had the right elbow flattened. In other batches, the right arm shifted, was flattened, or the bottle in his hand was flattened. These latest three were rh through the Photon File Validator before printing.

This is Elegoo Grey. 8 base layers at 50s, regular layers at 12s, off time 6.5. Assuming I'm reading this correctly, my firmware version is 4.2.3?

Am I doing something wrong with these prints? I've leveled my bed the "user manual" way a few times and the Flint Read method once (the most recent leveling attempt), and that seems fine. I know this model can turn out okay as I've printed it fine one time, so this just baffles me

EDIT: It also looks like the cloaks and left elbows had some failures. I can post my support settings shortly (Update: posted)

EDIT 2: Added pic of an older failure where the arm/bottle was flattened and it looks like part of the other arm was briefly affected at the same layer(s) as well

EDIT 3: It looks like all of the failures are where the model separated from supports. To help diagnose the issue, I've added my support settings, stolen from https://docs.google.com/…/1fHvgkgr5lavHzdf2mHjA_q68Zoc…/edit

Hi everyone! I just ordered mine, should get it later this week. Quick question, besides what comes with the printer are there any other supplies I should get. I know I need alcohol for rinsing. I'm planning on getting some UV lights. I've got experience with lots of commercial FDM printers but this will be my first go at this type of printing.

hey good people. I am having massive adhesion problems. I have gone from 6.5 sec off time and 60 sec 8 b/layers up to 10 sec off time and 10 b/layers @100sec. nothing sticks. re-leveled many times even using the paper method and flint way. nothing. whats going wrong.

When ye are making medium sized 28mm models do ye still hollow or print solid?

Hi! Is 395 ~ 400nm from an UV LED Strip enough to cure resin, oder does it need to have exactly 405nm? Thank you!

Hello guys, i have encountered a problem that i really dont understand. I want to print thist file: https://www.shapeways.com/product/4C4LF3HXC/dwarf-druid…

In the 3D view everything looks fine. I already printed this file on an FDM printer a while back without any problems. But as soon as i slice it for the photon, a massive "column" gets sliced into it, from the buildplate to the head. I have absolutely no idea why. I tried to auto repair it in meshmixer. Exported it to .obj and back to stl in different programs. No success, it looks fine in any 3D viewer and printed without any problems in Cura.

Weird thing is: Its allways from the buildplate to the head. If i lay the model on the back, it still wents from the buildplate to the head, so it wont rotate with the file (even though the shape is different now). When i lift the whole model up from the bottom, the column still starts at the bottom. It basically connects the buildplate with a shape in the head with a solid column for no reason.

I have now idea what to do, how something like this can happen and why it doesnt happen in any other slicer or 3D program.

Any ideas?

I'm willing to pay for some help with zbrush to create a simple template. While simple, I want it done right and would like to do a screenshare while the designer is doing it so that I can learn to change one particular detail of it. I'm posing here instead of in the zbrush groups because I think a good understanding of the quality possible with the photon would be key. Willing to pay £50 per hour and it will likely take 60-90 mins. If your interested let me know and lets chat in private.

Primer chat... hold on to your hats. What's your favourite aerosol primer? Is Humbrol any good? I'd go for Tamiya but it's not available with Prime and would take a few days to arrive whereas the Humbrol is available for immediate dispatch to arrive tomorrow and is more or less half the price. Opinions?
