Does the RJ45 port on the Photon do anything? I've searched a bit, and looked on the Photonsters github page, but nothing has turned up.

Hi guys. Following your tips I managed to drop the printing time from 40 to 19hs. Thanks a lot! I feel that I could improve that even more but I'm still testing slowly to get familiar with the printer. This is my first real print which I think could be perfect if it wasn't by these two circular steps around the head. Does anyone have any idea why it happened?

I tried a print and literally got nothing out, not even resin stuck to the FEP. The slice file preview looked fine. I did the screen test thingy and got this, I also tried running a file with a part in it and the screen looked exactly the same as this. Any idea what's wrong?

Got some tough resin and they all recommended 25°c or above. I was worried and started looking for heater ideas, adding stuff on Amazon. Then I quickly realized I live in Florida and print in my garage.

That's inside the resin. The chamber is 32° lol thank you Florida

Hi I am doing a large, the largest and longest print I've ever done, print that's taking 8 hours.

I am suddenly aware of "what if i didnt put enough resin in..."

There is a pause button, can I pause a print refil the vat and carry on ?

If anyone is bored, I highly recommend this print. The puzzle cube from Thingyverse. It is 3 identical pieces that are a little tricky to get together. The photon-s printed them perfectly. No supports, but I almost needed a hammer and chisel to get them off the build plate. Lol

Thought this might be useful for some people. I'm on the fence about buying an EPAX X1, Photon, or Photon S so I asked some questions to EPAX 3D:

1.) Does it have any kind of ventilation or an exhaust port?
No ventilation. It has a fan blowing outwards at bottom chamber. Some people make some adapter to connect it further out.

2.) Does it have a pause/resume feature, especially a resume feature in the event of a power outage or other error?
It does. But not for power outage or error cases.

3.) What 3rd Party software is supported?
Not at the moment. It uses ChiTuBox as slicer. Some people reported that Formware works with our printer.

4.) What file formats are accepted by the X1?
.cbddlp file format. Some people reported that .photon works too.

I have to say the answers are less than thrilling honestly. :(
