While waiting for Photon to arrive, I'm wondering about a thing or two:

I'd like to print my brother's logo in hope of being able to cast it in metal and make a branding iron (so he can burn it in wood).

But instead of going all out into casting (of which I have no experience in), I'm wondering if there would be a resin that'd support a high enough temperature to achieve this.

The logo is a stylized letter "K" (as seen here www.celliersklement.com ); I'd probably remove a few of the finer details though

Anyone have any experience about this that could help me out?

Having trouble I can't figure out. I tried everything and could not get eSun yellow Bioresin to print on Photon with a brand new Anycubic FEP (yes, I removed both protective layers when I installed it).

I tried more FEP tension and less tension. I tried exposures from 10-14 seconds at 100u. I tried the resin exposure calculator and it implied that 10 seconds was best (and the #4 column that is for 8 second was filled in completely). I tried bottom layer time from 50-70 seconds and from 2 to 6 layers. I re-trammed the plate. The parts would stick to the FEP instead of the plate, except for 2-3 of the ones with less plate contact. These are parts I have made hundreds of.

Finally I ran it on the EPAX with the EPAX film, and it worked on the first time. Not sure what is going on. Maybe some resins just don't like that FEP? I wish I had a solid answer as I have spent hours on this.

Anybody know why I’m getting color variations from the same bottle of resin? Sometimes I get a deeper darker green othertimes a more translucent brighter. Examples In the pic. These prints have not “darkened” over time, it just changes given the day. The printer is located in a cool dark room with zero sunlight. My typical routine is to give them a alcohol bath, rinse, dry then cook afterwards. It’s Anycubic resin. Thanks in advance.

I’m sure this question has been asked 1 billion times but part of my print is sticking to the FEP and a few layers sticking to the bed. Could it be poor supports ? I’m using medium with 30% density.

How do you create a model for a rough texture, like asphalt?
If it was just for rendering it would be a simple bump map and texture, but now we have to create geometry for it. Is there anything like a procedural generator for this kind of stuff?

I made color-shift resin! mixed pink/blue pearlescent powder into Siraya Blu. .05, 14, 4, 60. No IPA, cured in water. She looks different colors from different directions.
