How much of a difference does resin color make? I've heard different colors have different properties - I've only used Green, but now Green appears to be sold out at my preferred vendors. Any colors have close properties to green, or is the differing colors overrated?

Newbie question:

I have a lot of dried resin on the build plate after my test print. The light got to it while I was trying to get the print off. How can I safely remove the dried resin before the next print? The plastic scraper isn’t doing it at all. Also when I cleaned my vat the sheet now has a cloudy appearance is that normal

First couple prints on the Photon and I am loving this machine. I made a mount for a 5.5VDC power supply, a mount for Arduino Nano and some laser diode mounts. Many more to come I am sure. This group is great :D Peace -

TL;DR - Anycubic sent broken printer, looking for troubleshooting tips on not powering on.

Ordered a photon from Aliexpress, tried to cancel 2 days into 5 day processing. They said they couldn't, then shipped it. It showed up the same day as the one I ordered from Amazon. Showed up very blatantly used and abused, in non-factory packaging. I opened a dispute and their immediate message was asking me to remove the dispute. (lol)

I decided to take a closer look at how bad this printer was they sent me pre-owned, and I can't even get it to power on at all to inspect the LCD. I've swapped power supplies (which are also different) between the good and the bad, with no change to power.

Is there any quick/simple troubleshooting to this power problem? I'm just looking for a very detailed complaint against the official Anycubic Aliexpress store sending me a used, damaged, non-working printer at $10 more than the NIB I got from amazon.

Has anyone successfully printed a .photons file exported from Chitubox on the Photon S printer?? My screen always freezes when I go to print.

Has anyone tried this? Just had first damaged FEP sheet and need to replace using the one included but need to order to have instock. Also need a silicone spatula if any recomendations. Searching for 5mil pouches now.

Hi All!
Just tried out my Photon S for the first time. So far two failed prints. :-(
Around 1cm printed, then stuck to the vat. So i cleaned, noticed the printer was in a 4 degree tilt, fixed that, and tried again. After the second print came out almost the same (around 1.5cm printed then stuck to vat), and being a technical guy, here is a question to the gurus:

I'm printing a closed cone, with tip facing the build plate, is that possible that simply this 'suction cup' shape actually functioning like one and then tears itself from the build plate?

I quickly learned how to edit the model i downloaded from thingiverse, and i added a 'breathing hole' on the side, will start with this tomorrow morning. Any ideas are appreciated.

Hi people, can anybody offer some advice on resin please?

I have designed in Tinkercad a gear diff for my RC touring car. I've printed it if the kit supplied resin and it's turned out very well, however the green kit resin although massively hard seems a little brittle?? Does it gain strength after curing over time?

Can anybody offer any advice on a more suitable resin for this application?

Where does the kit resin sit in the scale of hardness?
