Hey guys, so I own an i3 Mega and I’m really loving it. I mainly use it to print stuff for D&D but I have been seeing SLA prints and their minis are soooo much better quality. I’m after people’s opinion on the Photon and if it’s worth it. It will be my 2nd printer and mainly for higher detailed prints and all my minis. Is it worth it or should I just stick to my i3 Mega?

Monocure rapid grey .02 layer, 10s on / 1s off / 5 base layers x 120s. Got a layer shift as you can see, plus two models stuck to FEP as partial print blobs. Thinking suction pulled model from buildplate because layers were under exposed? Going to try adding 3 more base layers to hopefully help adhere to buildplate, and upping normal exposure to 11s in case layers becoming delaminated? I’m on about my 10-15th print with my machine since receiving it 2 weeks ago and only third print with monocure rapid grey. Will raise base layer time if this doesn’t work unless someone has ideas.

This was my 2nd print using this resin. Will post pics of first print and settings in comments.

Battle scarred monster - with grey primer, needs sanding and final paint. one of my early 3Dcoat sculpts - touched up, I have a stand for it printing now.

Wrecked my FEP due to a print getting stuck (damn you maroone). And holy sh*tsnacks these things are way more expensive then i would have thought. Do you guys have any tips for getting cheaper FEP's? Cuz if i broke my first one after like a month i'm guessing there will be more. Also since i'm in Europe, i'd prefer it to be sent from within the EU due to the Swedish postal maffia.

Sidenote, do you use an APP or something to check the right frequency for the FEP tension?

Hey guys I’m looking for a recommendation. My photon crapped out after 3 weeks (z axis won’t move. So I messaged anycubic after trying a few of your suggestions. Anycubic responded and basically had me do the same things that members suggested and still to no avail. They told me to test the motor which I did, and it seems operational. I have waited 3 days for a response from them on what to do next and no response. I purchased my unit from amazon and just recently purchased another one. I’m wondering if I should stick it out with anycubic and hope they fix the issue or should I just contact amazon and return the 1st unit for a refund?
