anycubic's re-branded software can suck it now. the ChiTuBox V1.3.0 is just so much easier and honestly give better printing results, at the very least a better insight in your print.

loving the way of chceck what layer the printer is on with the lcd then in the software checking where that layer is to get an idea of whats done

Hi all!! question. I have a photon of the first and I'm getting one of the new white. I have seen the presentation video and it has not been clear to me one thing. The same thread that is used to anchor the platform to the printer is to level the bed? because it would mean that it would have to be leveled before each impression.

The material specs (notched Izod and flex strength) on this Resin look pretty good. Has anyone tried using it, and if so, how strong is it in reality?

I'm starting my adventure with Photon. Do not go against it if the questions are obvious. Why setting the Z-axis zero is only accurate to 0.1 mm. After all, with a layer thickness of 0.25 mm it is 4x the height of the layer. For comparison, in my Ultimaker 2 I set the table height with the accuracy of about 1/4-1/8 turn of the M3 screw which has a pitch of 0.5mm. So there the positioning accuracy is around 0,0625mm
-0.125mm and the layer thickness is 2-3 times greater. When printing SLA, the thickness of the first layer is probably more important. Perhaps the majority of problems with print peeling off result from this inaccuracy.

Hi folks! I have the photon since a week or so, and for every print I get these layer shifts in the bottom part. As you can see in the photo's (the woman body print shows it very well) the upper part of the print doesn't have these layer shifts. The base of the robot miniature should actually be totally flat.
I've checked the Z axis, and at has no play. I found it was very tight and I needed some force to put the bed-holder back in the rail. Could that be the issue? Should I maybe loosen it a bit?
I'm using Chitubox as a slicer btw.

After recent issues with my photon, I was on the fence about buying another photon, or buying a photon s. I was also considering the Epax X1 after seeing some people on here mention them. After looking on amazon today I see that Anet just released a resin printer, and for the next week its discounted $150.

My question is if I was to buy another resin printer which one is the best option?
