I'm having a problem with a file from Thingiverse ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1078106 ) being that the inside is a mangle of vertices leaving a hollow space in his file. Pictures of the hollow spaces: https://imgur.com/a/5nDgyD0

So I've asked before and not much of answer and even the suppliers don't have a solid answer. Who here lives in -40 temperatures in the winter and ordered resin in the winter? My research has led me to believe that it's too cold where I live in the winter to order without damage to the resin and would have to stock pile in the summer/fall for the winter.

Mainly why I just ordered my photon Friday as it's now only -10 to plus 5°c and finally warmer outside

Hi gents i dont have a printer or any experience of any but keep getting drawn towards a photon. I will be looking to print 1/50 scale armoured and soft skin, pickups, trucks vehicles etc for gaming. Heres a pic of the type of thing iam interested in, its diecast but you get the idea. Anyone done anything like this, is it feasible with the photon

Lately I keep seeing issues with firmware. And suggestions of updating to current firmware.

Knock on wood I have no real issues, but I am still using whatever firmware my printer was shipped with. Printer arrived end of last year.

Is there any reason to update to current firmware is my real question and perhaps risk some unforeseen issue?

Reloading the latest firmware seems to have fixed my printing problems on photon no1 now i just need the mainboard to turn up for photon number no2 so i can double production to 12 every 2 hours!..
Theres money in resin if it works ;)

How coarse can you go with the layer height on these little printers?
Ive just finished a Terminator head at 0.1mm and I cant see any layer lines at all, only lines left on the side from what I assume is the LCD resolution. Just wondering if anyone prints at 0.2mm

I got my replacement Photon from Amazon yesterday. No problems with this one.

I got it up and running, then printed the test model from the memory stick. It turned out great, so I decided to try out the 'experiment' that I actually bought the printer for- Making molds to cast urethane parts in.

I ran the print overnight- and it came out great. I'm new to DLP printing, and though I've watched a lot of videos, I used a lot of guesswork, so I was GLAD when it worked out. I cleaned up the mold a bit to remove supports, assembled it, and poured a test. It is PERFECT.

I am really impressed by this printer... While I've seen pics of the output before, actually holding the prints in your hand is amazing- The quality of the print and level of detail is great.
