Maybe a weird question but how do you know to top off the resin vat? I'm doing my first large prints and just realized it's a lot harder when the print gets larger and doesn't dip so much into the resin?

Finally started painting this blade Runner pistol, that i printed last year on the Photon.

Big parts are hollow but filled with fine sand, so the gun has weight and great detail on the print ?

I am looking to print a mold that would be a plain block occupying the entire platform and about 15mm thick. My first thought is to angle it and use heavy supports, but had anyone had success printing similar block pieces flat on the plate? Examples would be molds/flat base buildings/landscape. I searched the group postings, but not much specific info.

Hello, thanks for this great page. Question : is it possible to update a file during a print to add a single support? This is my first impression and I am almost certain that one is missing for the structure to work. The printing is at 51% and the missing support is in the last 10%.

OK so lets talk Settings. I am using the Anycubic Green Resin. I purchased a 1 liter bottle with my printer. I had good results but sporadically it would fail and I would have a base with SOME supports left and a blob on the FEP. So I figured I would test the resin using the file on Github. Looking at this image it says I need a 16 - 20 sec exposure time right? The best looking result is between 8 & 10 column. That is FAR from the 5.5 (or anything at all) on the recommended settings spreadsheet on google docs. Can anyone help me understand what I should be printing at here? This is the 50u B100 2-20 file. I got similar results on the 25u. Maybe I'm just not interpreting things right.

Hello everyone,
my first post here... :-)

I have been experimenting with the Resin XP Finder and I am surprised by my tests...
Apparently I always get the best results with extremely long exposures, between bar 9 and 10, regardless of the resin I'm using or thickness...did you have similar results? What could it be? Checking around these seems to be very long exposure for these settings, I am wondering if there is something wrong with my printer...

The weird marks you see are due to the old FEP I must change...also, there were some bubbles in the black 25 micron, sorry about that.

Hey, Can anyone tell me why I got this on my FEP after printing? The printer stands at dark place so there is no UV light apart form LED. Thanks for any advice.
