In the middle making an enclosure with ventilation for the photon.
I’d like to spruce it up with a little light inside. Any good cheep small LEDs or something I can put inside the box without risking inadvertently curing the resin? Or is it better I keep it dark.
Photon has yellow windows.

FunToDo Castable first time Investment casting. I did some oilsand castings before, but casting pistons is a nightmare every time because you have to build serval moulds for the cores. Investment casting seems to be a lot easier with the Photon.

Plaster mix: 1/3 Playsand - 2/3 Modelplaster
with 1/3 Water mixed by Volume.

The first Print with FunToDo Castable failed, the Chitubox supports were too small(i used standard heavy). The second print with Robert Silvers Netfabb medium support script print like a charm. @ 16s/Layer without warping.

The mould is in the kiln at the moment. I will try the slow burnout cycle suggested on the resins website.

The piston is for a small 2 Stroke engine I build. It will be cast with an AlSi alloy and I have to do some machining after casting.

I'm curious if that works. Any suggestions?

Hi all! I am very new so I would like to ask two questions for experts =)
1) If the base of the object being printed is very large and tall, like a parallelepiped with the same size of the building platform, will it stuck on the platform? Will I be able to remove it at the end? How do you remove it? Or is better to use supports in this case?
2) How do I know that I have to replace the FEP film?

Anyone know where I can get a spare set of vat screws? (the smaller for the two rings plus larger to secure to vat) I feel like after time they might get rounded off. Obviously I can hunt them down from a fixings place but just curious if they're already available as a spares kit...

quick question.. why everyone is using IPA?

I'm using Ethilic alohol, and seems to be doing an exceptional good work cleaning the resin out... is there a reason why not to use it? (or a reason why to use IPA over this one?)

I have moved the printer inside from garage to my closet size work room with two air purifiers with HEPA and Active Carbon filters... just started printing about 45 min ago and so far the filters keeping the smell in controll..

Hello, im thinking to buy me an anycubic photon, there is a nice action tight now on aliexpress.
But i'm wondering what a suited UV curing lamp is for these prints, any advice?
