ok... about to lose it with this photon. brand spanking new, levelled, zero'd and failed to print a damn thing apart from either print a solid block on the fep, and or the head, with no actual print done at all... every time... any suggestions please.. I have wasted an entire bottle of resin on this so far, and I'm reaching the end of my tether... it simply doesn't work. the exposure seems to light correctly by layer after doing a dry test, so wtf is going wrong???

Please welcome Chris Lord . He's a refugee from the Monoprice Mini Delta crowd, and considering getting a Photon.

There was someone asking how to rust parts, this is a plastic model which I built and painted, to get this rust look, a dark oxide spray, sprinkle on some table salt and a bit of sea salt spray over lighter red/orange let that dry and then some mist coats of the colour you want in this case diluted olive green, you can either leave some salt on or rub some off with a toothbrush, the corrugated sheets were heavily rusted

My friends and I have a tradition of watching Krampus each Christmas. So of course I couldn't resist making this after seeing it on thingiverse. Printed in anycubic green with a coat of Grey primer.

Painting is going to be challenging though as I need to give the appearance of rusty metal. I'm seeing lots of varying methods for painting rust when searching online though. Right now leaning towards using a dark metallic, stippling with some orange, using brown wash, then dry brushing. Anyone here that has done rust before and can recommend any particular method?

I’m curious as to what would cause this to happen. My settings were .05/12/1/60/5. With monocure rapid clear

The less bent base one was completely horizontal and the more bent one was angle about 45 degrees.

First print done with any cubic green resin. It took 2 hours to print at stock settings. Quite happy with the finish I might try 0.025 instead of 0.05 for extra detail.

I will never stop using my filament printer it is the best way to print large plastic objects but for detail I can see that resin for now is your best bet. This is for the scale model of the Curiosity Rover that I am making for another member and this is the drill head at the end of the robotic arm that contains the drill the microscope and the sensors. I doubted that I could get this kind of detail from the model and to ask a slicer to cut up my models is asking a lot but apparently the Photon pulled through.
