photon slicer help:
1. why when adding supports does it sometimes not add when i click even though the cursor support is green? what am I doing wrong?

2. is there a way to preview layers in phonton slicer? to make sure i didnt miss any overhangs?

Hey guys,

Here is my comparision between IPA, TEK1969 and Resinaway ?

Printed these Spiderman busts without support with the following settings

0.05, 10, 6.5, 8, 50

From left to right: Resinaway > TEK > IPA

You can clearly see the one cleaned with IPA is the most "clouded". The Resinaway and TEK are almost the same at first sight.

Will take pictures tomorrow with daylight for beter quality pics ?

Also, can anyone please tell me why they look yellowish.. i've seen some models printed with clear resin that didn't have this nasty pee-like color.. ?

Anyone else take the giant Styrofoam insert that came with your printer, lined it with foil, punched a hole in the top and shoved a UV flashlight in the hole so you have a ghetto curing station? No? Just me? Ok.

Why they aren't more settings even for Anycubics Resins on the Sheets Document?

If I wanna print white out of the box I'm limited to just 0.05mm layer resolution.

Another Torture Test for bluecast x5, let me get this straight, this tree was casted under one of the hardest burnout cycles:

( FINISHED PRODUCT PICS TOMMORROW)

1. Resin should not be casted with normal wax ( i totally agree but bluecast x5 can be)

2. Burnout time 3 hours, ( advisable burnout for CASTABLE resins is 10~12 hourS)

3. BLUECAST is for thin piddly stuff ( THIS LION IS 50GMS of solid 22k gold apart from sprues)

4. Not cured under UV, slight color change is due to casting being delayed by a week so it aged naturally

Casting in gold is a very scientific process and requires deep knowledge of metal behavior, investment powder, casting and pouring temperatures, reactivity of resins.

Motivated by Vinicius Silva and the curiosity of group members, i will be bringing a video log to document some of the key steps of bringing a model from you laptop to finally casting it in gold in a few days.

** THIS IS not any sort of advertisement ** i just wanted to bring this knowledge to my fellow group members if you want to save your self from the disappointment of bad cast invest in a good resin...
