What am I doing wrong to have this occur? Perfectly formed but flat at the corner. This doesn’t happen with bases so idk what the issue is.

Looking for some advice.

I’m getting successful prints but the cost in damage is high. To the point that 25% of the model is unsightly and not worth the effort overall. Example below.

The issue I’m Having is in order to GET a successful print I need to support the mofo like crazy. The example shown was printed 5 different times before I finally got a complete model. But the damage after priming is obvious.

I’ve tried various exposure times, depth of support, you name it.

Using Chitubox, siraya blue and 10 sec exposure on this one. Tried lower numbers to no avail. I have come very good at cleaning off the FEP at this point tho...

Mostly failure is talked about here, mine included, so I’d like to report a success. Had my printer since just before Christmas and was terrified of doing a long print. First one failed cause I didn’t support it enough. Second attempt, 10 hours in the making, and the body is ready for all the other bits I’ve already done.

Can’t stress enough to new guys; make sure your FEP is tight enough, plate is level and SUPPORTS everywhere. Don’t skimp on big models. Nothing worse that a 10 hour job that came out 90% perfect.

Edit; no it’s not a heart lol but it could be I guess.

Is this sound normal? I’ve had it for about a month and it started revving more. Now I just updated the firmware last night so maybe that’s the cause. Seems to be working fine but it also just sounds like it wants to quit. ??‍♂️

Looking for some opinion; anycubic Photon. I just started using Siraya Tach blue and started having some weird failures in the middle of my prints. The rafts are fine, but it looks like the supports are just giving up. The lcd UV detection test pattern looks fine... what would cause supports of all sizes to just not print in the middle but work just fine everywhere else?

I’m confident my plate is level. Lift and retracts speeds are low. Level exposure time is 12 sec.

Update; looks like the FEP was too loose. I tightened it down and came out with a perfect print.

Team, a little help.

I can print figures just fine, keep the detail in fur coats and finger tips but I CANNOT for the life of me get consistent, acceptable results with bases.

What am I doing wrong? Here is the latest attempt settings and supports. The only ones that printed were the front two. The back left was 80% intact and the rest didn’t print at all.

I assumed a suction problem before this print but at this point I just have no idea.

Edit; photon. Anycubic translucent green.

What’s the secret for getting round bases? I’ve tried angles, flat, upside down... I can print a highly detailed figure without issue but bases either come out warped, disfigured or don’t come out at all. What’re some tried and tested techniques?

Rafts equal success for me, and I’m curious as to why that may be. I can’t seem to get consistent success without them.

I am using anycubic translucent green, 8 bottom layers for 80 sec. is this not enough? Any other culprits? Are my settings foolish?

So I installed a new FEP today and started printing again. Got two prints off with no issue. Third didn’t stick to the plate and left a flat outline on the FEP. I know the refrain is to admonish one for not having a level plate but I think it’s something else.

At any rate as I tried to break off the chunk from the FEP I realized how well it was stuck on. Afraid of cutting another FEP I took my time but wondered; what’s the best way to get those things cleaned off? What’s the standard practice? Scrap and pray you don’t destroy it?

Additionally as I rub my scrapper across the FEP I can feel very small imperfections. They won’t come off and I can’t even feel them with my gloved fingers. Is this a show stopper and the FEP is screwed or is this normal?

Thanks in advance

Day four of owning this printer and just popped a hole in the FEP. kinda irritated cause I have been really cautious but I guess a dozen or so failed prints will do that.

What’s the best replacement solution? See more than a few options on amazon but wanted to get some opinions. Thanks.
