Hi there, I just installed the Z rail upgrade but I don’t know if I did something wrong but when I’m resetting to zero, the back plate hits the fan and it won’t get any lower. What did I do wrong ?

Does anyone have any tips for printing lithophanes? I've been trying for a while to make a gift for my Great Aunt but this always happens. At least 1 edge will detach from the plate and result in a failure ultimately. My guess is there just isn't enough contact to the plate to hang on and gradually pulls away, so the fix would be to increase that surface area... but I'm not sure the best way to implement that. All my other prints have been perfect with the same settings, even printed a Baby Yoda in the same vat of resin with the same settings... ?‍♂️

I experimented with using supports but that didn't work cause it seemed to introduce a lot of wobble which created layer shifts. I did get a full print when I angled it, but that was also failure. The only info about resin lithophanes I could find was a FormLabs piece and I was already doing everything advised there haha.

Resin is Monocure Rapid Cure in the Photon S. Thanks in advance for any tips / advice ?

Hello all, I have a Prusa FDM printer already, but having seen the Photon resin printers, I am thinking of getting one, hopefully this week, for printing detail parts for scale model aircraft and cars. I've seen brilliant results from the Photon online for this kind of thing, so I'm confident it will do the job. I'm confused about the conflicting views on the Photon vs. Photon S. As of just now, they are within £40 of each other. I've heard the online community isn't as deveoped for the "S", and becasue the file types and slicer are different, it's a potential issue. Assuming I've got no 'baggage' with a previous resin printer, what are people's views on which I should get? Not wanting to start an online war about this, just looking for a summary of people's thoughts on the +/- for each version. Thanks in advance.

hey guys, what are "normal" file size for photn prints. i have a failed print that looks like the problem is from file (tried 2 prints same problem just freez at a layer) *with original stick*
Sliced this print, hallow inside, two holes and the file size is 1.1gb , trying to print with a different stick , we will see what happens, but the file size looks kind-a big

Welp, here we go.

ANYCUBIC is trying to gouge me. Honestly, I kind of expected this, so I'm not surprised. Luckily I paid through VISA (which has insurance/whatever), so I can probably get them to handle this.

EDIT: People seems to be missing the fact that they are trying to pass of those colours as "plant-based" resins.

"the plant based resin only have black, grey, white, clear and translucent green color."

Don't know if this counts as advertising (hope not!), but just noticed that there are some nice Black Friday sales on Anycubic's official site for both printers and resin.
