New Photon S owner here, I've had success with the test print and several miniatures with the supplied clear green resin but now want to move on. I have upgraded the firmware to V5.0 and the UI and the anycubic slicer as well as downloading the Chitubox slicer - the common ancestry is very obvious isn't it?

The question is, is there a resin calibration test for the Photon S and is there any advantage in using a file format oter tha photons for printing stuff now that I have the choice? I realise the original Photon calibration file won't work for me and why.

Hello dudes & dudettes,

Just encountered a few failed prints (wasted resin ... ? ). Had a few error codes on my Anycubic supplied USB stick before this occurred ... think it might be that.

Bought a 3 pack of Philips USB 3.0 32 GB high speed sticks ... did a bit of research & formatted the USB to FAT32. Still won't communicate with my Photon.

Anybody got any recommendations around replacing the USB (i.e. technical specifics, brand, etc.)?

Hi.
My anycubic photon does not print correctly. Calibro Z and I am ready to print but then a few "error error": Error error code: M_11800.

It has less than a year and the machine without bucket and base does not jump the error.

help. Thank you.

Hi everyone. My phonton gets here Thursday and I’m wanting to make this straw topper. The file shows lines everywhere and I’m wondering if this is what it’ll look like when it’s done or will it have a smooth finish since it’s a resin printer?
PS: I know ZERO things about 3D printing and 3D printers as this is my first. I’ve been watching this group and lots of YouTube videos to learn how to use it. So forgive my lack of knowledge!

I have a quick question about the new Resin Exposure Range Finder for the Photon S ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3973475 )

Reading the description I got a bit confused whether or not the columns needed to be multiplied by the normal exposure time or not.

It says "...with section #1 being exposed at the given Normal Exposure Time. (eg- for normal xp of 4s; Section 1- 4s, section 2- 5s, section 3- 6s and so on)...".

Could someone clarify to me if the following would be correct: The (new) RERF was printed with a normal exposure time of 3.0s, Column 4 looks the best. The best exposure time for this resin is: 4*3 = 12 seconds?
