Ok yall, I'm coming from FDM background and finding the photon to be more headache than its worth. But dont want to give up. My biggest issue is with the alligator skin left from the supports. I assume this is due to exposure time and liquid pooling around the supports. What do I need to do to keep this to a minimum. I see fantastic prints posted here I'm just not getting those results.

OK, I run a file through the file validator, which provides a list of unsupported places. I can choose Fix and it will fix the ones it can, but it can do nothing about others.

Now, if go to one of the layers with a problem and click on the problem, I get an enlargement that shows pixels in the area. I can click on one and it will change color--my choices are "uses swap" or "uses on/off". What's the difference? And am I really changing my file this way?

Sigh. Alright I give up.

Confession time: I admit I've been using the photon slicer software that came with the printer. It was easy to use, even if it was in chinese most of the time. But I am finally ready for Chitubox, as the photon slicer has just started quitting halfway through slicing or laying supports.

Any advice or suggestions as I undergo this endeavor?

Well 3 hours remaining on a 12 hour print. Not sure why it’s taking this long I think I have some of my settings wrong. But oh well. Hopefully I don’t run out of resin! This is my first big print on this machine. So far it looks really good. Will for sure continue to use chitubox rather than the actual anycubic slicer.
