Using my photon s to make better parts for the tornado. This came out really perfect, and has much better airflow. BTW, anyone telling me that it will fail from heat, not my first rodeo. Plan to test with cheaper resin before I buy more expensive stuff for my final part.

when using chitubox the skate for the supports is much more thicker than what i chose, i set it to 0,5mm thick and it came out with 2mm and in some cases more. what is causing this??

I’m looking for some advice from within the collective wisdom here.

I recently changed resin to Elegoo transparent blue and my first couple of prints haven’t gone so well. Originally, I was using the Anycubic transparent green resin without issue and with great results. But I’ve been less successful with the new resin.

First time around I put it down to the source file and how I had the item on the plate in the slicer. However, with a different model using support, I noticed some issues that could explain what went wrong the first time around.

I supported and sliced the model using ChituBox. I’ve attached photos of the supports and the print (the first three pictures). As you can see the supports have all merged into one big raft such that they will be impossible to remove. Furthermore, the raft was very difficult to remove from the plate when the print completed - I almost had to chisel it off.

I’ve prepared new print using Prusa Slicer as a test (see the last photo), but I suspect my problem is with my exposure times for the different resin.

The settings I am used for the Elegoo transparent blue are 16s exposure time, 8 bottom layers and 60s bottom exposure time. These are based on exposure data Google Sheet from Photonsters and are different from what I had been using for the Anycubic green.

My question is, are my exposure setting off or is it something else?

Recommendations or suggestions appreciated.

Using the new Anycubic workshop slicer to try out on an original Photon. When the print is complete, it just sits there and says 1% on the screen. Previously, it would raise the Z-Axis to the top and say file completed. I need to test the same model using the old slicer to see if the same thing happens. Only other thing I've modified is turning off the enclosure fan with the fan_off.gcode. Any thoughts or anyone else running into this?
