Hey all! Anyone here used De-icer to clean prints instead of IPA? I tried it and its work. Do u have any experience? Its way cheaper than IPA :)

I would really like to use the Photon File Validator more often, but when I load up a build plate full of minis, the file size typically gets too large for the Validator to load it. I get an infinite loading screen. I unfortunately don't have time to slice each model individually to validate it. Has anyone else experienced this file size issue with the validator, and if so is there a fix for it?

Quick tip: U-type works great for screw heads - much better then philips or slotted profile's. Here using U2.6

Easy to print and not prone to stripping like other profiles.

Now that the new firmware is out, all the argument about open source is not *valid*, I hope. Is Photon S finally worth the extra money if I don’t have a printer at all, since the only bad thing I think now is the plastic build.

Fauxton is a very budget printer, but it requires a Z rail upgrade to fix some of the layer line issue. While Photon S doesn’t require it. Either people hate S and don’t bother doing it or it doesn’t even need it. And Photon S has more powerful screen and cure faster.

So base on PRINT QUALITY, does it mean Photon S might actually be better and cheaper than Fauxton with upgraded Z rail?
