Does the resin vat come with the FEP film properly preinstalled and ready for printing, or do i need to remove any invisible plastic cover from it?

Hey guys,

I just received my first Photon this week and it's been running great. I've seen alot of videos with people having 4 see-through windows. Mine only came with 2 on either side and the top and front have some type of white film stuck really well onto it. It's not like the normal plastic removal you do when you unpack the machine.

Is this normal or new or somthing ? Printer is brand new directly from anycubic.

Hello group! I didnt print for over a year because I didnt have the patience to deal with bad miniature quality. But now my wife is bugging me for prints and I want to start over again. So should I update the Firmware? Is aa worth it? And is there any new go to slicer other than the stock one? Or has some miniature printing youtube god arrived to help me to start over? Sorry for the noob questions :)

So the ribbon for the display board was pulled out and I can not get it back in and so the display is not working. Is there a replacement for the ribbon or the whole display part? If so where do I look to buy them. I can’t find anything on Amazon.

I have only had my Photon a short while and I am new to the hobby. I just replaced the FEP and I am now having the issues circled in red. This is the second time (and second usage of the new FEP) that I have printed the vertical coins which originally had insufficient supports and most failed to print correctly include sticking to the FEP. For the second print, new supports were placed by hand. The coins that are not circled don't appear to have any issues.

The completely failed coin (angled) was created using medium auto-support with additional heavy supports added to the low point. That coin uses negative space for its features and angling it seemed the best way to minimize the need for supports. I used to Photon Validator to remove islands.

Before starting this second print, the FEP appeared to be clean and unscratched and the resin was well shaken. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? I am using Elegoo Gray (which I just realized, while writing this, that it expired about a month before I got my printer).

Help! I have an .stl file which shows up fine in the photon slicer, but when I try to open it using ChituBox 1.5, it opens but the model is nowhere to be found. I don't even see the build platform. Anyone else encounter this? Tips on how to fix?
