Today i feel very very stupid, always want to print that popular file for thingiverse that allows you to drain resin out of your prints... But i dont have a filaments printer, so i spend several minutes each time i print holding the plate till i get bored of counting drops... What causes these transparent thin bits to form off the edge of the print? There are also some inside the cube as well.

Build plate leveling distance question: what’s the right level?

When I set my Photon up last week I read the manual and watched a video where the guy demonstrated the manual version. That worked really well for me. I did not hear a clicking, and after the very first print failed I upped the base layer exposure from 50 to 90 and I’ve been having 100% successful prints all week. Only issues were my own doing like learning supports.

This morning I re-leveled. I feel like it was just a touch tighter than the first time. I heard the clicking sound that sounds like it’s pulling the layer off the resin vat, possibly it is the screen snapping back down? It was subtle but I wonder if this reduces the life of the screen.

I was printing coins stood on the end so flat surfaces, I put 11 on there. 2 runs of that were perfect but I heard the noise. I re-leveled and got rid of the click, we’ll see if it works as well as before.

Is it just - whatever I’m happy with results-wise? Or has anyone experienced a difference in detail one way or the other?

I finished translating the interface of Photon S and decided to get a little deeper. The visible rendering of the background pictures was slightly annoying - weakly, but it was noticeable how they appeared from top to bottom. Brakes due to the fact that these pictures are read on the fly from the flash memory chip by one byte. 150 kilobytes - one byte each! ... I translated the reading on entire lines through DMA and the output of pictures was accelerated by almost 5 times.
