Question:

I have been printing with skin, translusent red and translucent green for a while, having no issues... Then i tried a completly clear resin...

"PrimaCreator Value DLP Resin Clear"

>>I printed a small miniature with a base attached.

The miniature turned out perfect; no detail was lost and everything printed as expected.

BUT..

The supports under the base had merged into a solid piece (making the base a few mm higher..

So i was wondering: Which setting can i use to avoid this with a clear resin?

>> my common sense solution is to use heavy suppports for the base, lifting it higher to avoid the bug.. Or to just tip the model on its back (which i dont whant to do as it was modeled to print upright) but both these seems like a work-arounds and not a solution

Hi again, does anyone here know the "magic number" of the photon?

For example my ender 3 moves the most accurate in increments of 0.04mm.

If not, maybe what thread the z rod is so i could calculate it? :)

Hey guys, now that I've officially bomb-dived into the deep end and have had a successful print - does anyone have pointers for judging how much resin I'll need to complete a print based on the estimate? This little lass had an estimate of 3.6mL (standard 25mm table top mini) but I feel like I put easily 50 or 100mL in the tank just in case...
How accurate are the estimates? Should I have a bit of a buffer just in case?

So ive started mixing flex into my prints to increase durability. Thats worked. But it means now i have syringes https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004RDPM3Q/ which need to be cleaned after each vat filling. This has proven messy, and ive spilled a bunch of resin on my hands twice now, and it took a lot of acrjbbing until i got as much off as i could until i could no longer smell it, and i know thats not good for me.

Any suggestions on how to adequately clean these out without making a mess?

So hard to find grey.
but I have white and some black resin pigment (liquid).

I had some good success with my S#!T mix of bottom of the bottle and some AC green with the dye. (pictured)
Hoping the white and black pigment will work better. Any tips on getting the right mix, and can I just use the same settings if I match the grey I use? Or does chemical composition play into it?

Ive heard you can flash the epax firmware onto the photon and it will get rid of that annoying cooling fan issue of spinning up and down constantly during prints. Is that correct?

Ok so this exact thing happened again after adjusting my settings to the below picture. I releveled because I didn’t feel like my paper was tight enough when I pulled it out the first time I leveled. There was nothing on the print base either. It was all on the FEP. I’m going to run the same file again and see what happens this time with the exact same settings. These settings are the ones I got off the spread sheet that’s listed on here.

Edit: I also switched usb drives for the next print also
