Build plate not going up and down between layers...

I have re-sliced the file in anycubic slicer software and used two different thumb drives as well, but partway through the print it doesn't go up and down and just stays in the same spot... It's been at different layer heights so it's not consistent.

When I stop and ask it to go up it doesn't go up, but after I completely shut the machine off it will work as normal and will go up and down.

I'm thinking of updating the firmware, but not sure what else to try? It was working just fine on a different print the day before.

So i had to replace my FEP screen a while back and a couple of the screws for the vat were damaged and would not thread back into the vat so there is a couple of screws not installed. Is there there going to be major issues with that? I seem to have horizontally lines on prints now. But im not sure if thats due to me not tightening the FEP enough or something else

Can somebody give me some tips on how to print detailed faces for 36 mm miniatures?
Ive been trying on lots of different settings, cure time, microns all week and I cant get the perfect result...
