After some advise or feedback regarding this print on the photon s. As you can see these are some lines in the competed piece, none of these are in the model itself. Would this be due to the supports? Setting? Machine? Just the best quality possible? I just find the inconsistency of the flaws weird and trying to get my head around in this learning phase. Settings were 0.04 layer and 8 seconds per layer. 5 x base layers at 80 seconds each

Hi fellas! Just out of curiosity, what is the general consensus on the Photon S now? Are the release-kinks ironed out, or is it still a gamble to get one?

Has anyone used their photon to make watercooling parts like reservoirs for unique builds? If so, how did you do the G1/4 threads? What material and what wall thicknesses did you find successful?

First time poster here, hi! Might sound like a silly question, but is resin 3D printing a fun hobby in general ? I recently placed an order for the Photon, and have been quite excited waiting for it, but trawling through various resin printing forums and groups, you quickly get the notion that resin printing is mostly a hellish slog through noxious fumes, your home smelling like a chemical plant, allergic reactions and an approximately 20% success rate for prints after hours and hours of modding, calibrating and spreadsheet cross-referencing, and all this provided you don't get a faulty printer or a bad batch of resin in the first place :D

Don't get me wrong, I do like DIY and all sorts of tinkering and I'm not expecting a perfect plug'n'play experience off the bat - I'm happy to do the modding, calibrating and research to get things working! I guess the fact that people often post to forums when things go wrong (which is a good thing, the community seems very supportive) just creates this impression of constant immense difficulties and failure rates.

So, some encouragement for someone who is just embarking on this apparently surprisingly wild ride? Your nicest prints, great and easy experiences, things working as they're supposed to? 翻譯年糕

This is a shadow demon (thanks Miguel Zavala ) for my current campaign in eSun Bioresin clear at .05, 8 bottom layers at 60s, 6.5s between layers, 11s per layer.

Still need to clean it up a bit, but probably won't paint. The resin gave a nice "frosted glass" look after curing. (Probably could have taken more time in the IPA, but I'm pretty happy with it.). The only settings I /might/ change would be the bottom layers, was tough to get off the build plate, but wasnt too bad.

(His friend behind him is another one of Miguel's models I printed on my FDM printer, an earth elemental primed and ready to paint)

So last couple prints my build plate shifts slightly. This time it was barely noticeable but the first time it was like 25 angle. Am i just not tightening the grub screw tight enough? Had some floating dey resin in the tank
