Has anyone found a way to significantly reduce elephant's foot when printing directly on the build plate?

I'm thinking that by reducing the cure time and number of base layers and maybe by raising the Z Zero point, it can be reduced. Any thoughts?

I’ve found these Scratch Brushes make quick work of sanding down the small bumps left behind by the support trees, especially in tight areas. You can find them on Amazon, they use fiberglass fibers, and you push the little button on the back to extend them when they get worn down, kind of like a mechanical pencil. They’re made for cleaning circuit board contacts.

Hey guys!

Just bought a photon today and was hoping to get a head start on some information I may need to know.

I currently do DLP printing for a living working for Envisiontec doing rapid prototyping, so Im more than familiar with properly setting up a machine as well as setting proper perimeters for resin exposure times.

So what are some things I need to know / do on day one? I ordered their grey resin for figurine models which is what I do a lot.

How is their software? I currently own a Peopoly Moai 130 and am extremely comfortable with their software as of right now and would love to continue using it unless Anycubics is better?

Also have been seeing some stuff about a z axis upgrade. Does anyone supply the full upgrade or do I need to buy the linear rails, back plate, and mount all separately? I have access to mills from my old job but hate going there lol

Hello Guys,

I’ve printed a couples of things with Monocure 3D rapid clear but every time, regardless of the setting, the object remais somehow “gummy” and soft compared to the standard anycubic resin.
Even after curing the situation remains the same.
Moreover the objects present very strong horizontal banding compared to the anycubic ones.

I thought that monocure would have been much better than anycubic but, so far, it seems to be the contrary for me...

Any advice?

(In the pic: clear—>monocure, pink—>anycubic clear + dye. Same object in both pics)

Hi Guys, i see a lot of post where people expose their problems with the printer,

So just a quick message to say that my photon came yesterday, and everything is fine. It is pretty much plug n play (of course there is a learning curve but coming from the fdm world i 'm not really a beginner)

I had a little problem with the bed leveling but a quick search on this group solved the problem (do like me guys
There is everything you need already =) !) So a huge thanks to this community , I'm really happy with my purchase overall ^^

I tried searching the group and didnt see much, but whats everybodies setup for their printer/washing/curing. Mine is coming tomorrow and Ive been trying to prep for it. I have a victorian house so there is only 1 room without direct sunlight. My laundry room, but I'm going to need to build something in there so I'm just looking for ideas of what to build
