Hey guys, really enjoying this group! I own a Photon for a couple of months and must say the knowledge I've acquired with all of you in the last few weeks since I entered the group is unmeasurable.
But one thing remains unclear to me...
How to tell the difference between z-wobble lines and tension/negative pressure lines?
This was my first ever print test, a 1/6 scale Lee Majors head I've sculptedin zbrush. I do know now that I should have angled him more, and I didn't put another hole in the top of his head. There are visible lines between his mouth and nose... Would it be due to sucction deformation or zwobble?

Hello, i've been having this weird print issue with my elegoo mars. I know that this is the Anycubic group, but i'm still hoping that some of you are able to help me since its pretty much the same printer. What is causing this weird issue? Ive tried re-slicing the file but that didnt help. I'm getting the exact same issue on other models too.

Question: slicer software

Hi, firstly thanks for the addy to the group.

Received my Photon a couple of days ago, put everything together and levelled as per the well written instructions, went on to print the lattice cube, came out perfect. Feeling very pleased with myself and my new investment I moved onto installing the slicer software and here is where my problem lies. The programme installed fine but it will not load a .stl or show the parameters of the build area. Same with ChiTuBox.

I downloaded a trial copy of Formware which works great and I went on to print out a XYZ test cube without problem.

As I understand it the Anycubic software will not work with older graphics cards…..is this correct?. I have two laptops, an i7 Samsung and a i5 Thinkpad, both a few years old but good laptops.

I don't really want to buy a newer computer or invest 100+GBP in the Formware, despite how good it seems to be. Is there another slicer programme I could use or some work around for the supplied slicer?

Just curious what patreons people are using for higher detail miniatures. Artisans guild is good stuff. Right up my alley, just hard to know what all they have. Im hip to MZ and some of the normal Thingiverse dudes, but id like to find a real solid Patreon to jam for a while. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone seen this before using anycubic black resin? Quite a few of my prints have been getting patches of this weird layer that almost has tiny little hairs on them?

Printed at 0.05mm, 6 base layers at 70s, standard exposure of 10.5s.

The weird thing is the one in the picture was one of 34 on the build plate and so far I have only seen this one with this weird coating.

This is after being washed in ipa, air dryer then cured.
