have been experimenting with my photon and looking at the issues in prints that look like lines are in them - which is often attributed to z-wobble and model alignment.

I had been using .05mm layer thickness for some prints and was getting lines.

Then I read that the stepping of the device is in .02mm

I tried .02mm and .06mm and no lines.

currently using the following settings with the white resin and i am getting great prints every time now.

White - Anycubic POT015 LCD Uv 405 nm Rapid Resin for 3D PRINTER-500Mll/ 500G-White
layer 0.02
Normal Exposure 12
Off time 6.5
Bottom exposure 115
bottom layers 8
heavy supports with contact depth at 0.35
30% support density

Is there any stock or is anybody selling a seperate build plate in Europe? I need a spare one so I can switch them out to speed up my printing process. Now I have to wait until I cleaned the parts on the current build plate before I can start the next print. Anybody?

I take it all back what i said about this machine :)
apart fromt he first print i have not got anything worth having out of it now its started printing on the the top and bottom at the same time and the model is just a big solid blob of resin with no features :)
Please help!

PROBLEM: FEP gets cloudy. There has to be a way to revive the FEP
TESTING: I have a FEP that is cloudy, and has a hole in it. So I decided to see if there was an over the counter cleaner that would clear up the cloudiness and return the FEP to a clear state without ruining the FEP (since I have a hole in my FEP I can't really just test to see if printing works...yet).
STEPS: Rinse my FEP with water, dry it off with a lint free micro-cloth. Spray the the FEP with Windex Original Formula with ammonia-D and let it sit for 10 seconds. Using the microfiber cloth gently wipe the FEP (top and bottom). Rinse with IPA 99%.
RESULT: Clear FEP - NO CLOUDINESS :)

Now - I didn't print off the FEP but it was 95% clearer than before the procedure. IPA alone did not remove the cloudiness.

NEXT Steps: when this new FEP I put on today gets cloudy, I am going to try it again and then try to print with it. See if it still works.

Anyone else have a tried solution?

rub 'n buff antique gold with a brush on black primer, there's room for improvement, but I think it's not that bad for a first attempt, this stuff is nice to work with

hey folks, a very nice person has given me a mobo from a scrapped photon. the problem is the clip that holds the ribbon cable to the touch screen is broken and won't hold the ribbon. is there a work around for this or can i get new clips?

Hey everyone, complete newb here. I think i messed something up on my new Photon, and i'm here to ask for advice as to why it happened.
So i installed the printer, calibrated it, printed out the test cube. everything hunky dory. I then go for my first real print, a miniature figurine with supports. It appears to work for the first part of the process, then about half way i see that instead of the outline of the model you're starting to get one solid gooped together block (see pics). I stop the print, empty the tray, and i see that resin had dried up and massed together on the FEP film as seen below.

Is this because I didn't drain and clean the printer after printing the initial cube? am i supposed to do this after each single print? Or is it because the print plate is pressing down too hard?

Please let me know, i would like to avoid wasting resin, and hopefully the printer's not damaged.
