Hello guys, Max here from Italy.
I have a Photon from some days but I can't make a print! Every time the result is the raft of the object sticked on FEB. Nothing on the plate! Only once I printed the photon cube with my black resin (original anycube resin), only one and never again!
I read many posts on this facebook group, docs on Photonsters, I levelled the plate may times, paper and flint methods, I traied to change exposure time, upgrade firmware to last 4.2.12, I used standard slicer and ChiTuBox. Nothing! Nothing!
You guys are my last possibility, please can you help me??? If you need any info or photo ask me!

Being one of the first in Europe to receive a Photon it seems some other versions of the machine made it to market in the first batches.

My machine has several differences to the normal MK 1 machine.

40watt LED (Four 10watt LEDs on a square PCB with a vent in the centre.)
Milled build plate with a fly cut build surface
Glass lid on the LED shroud rather than acrylic.

Ever since I have had the machine changing the fep has been a pain in the ass and I can't believe I never put 2 and 2 together as to why.

My vat is a different design, single steel ring with 24 screws attaches to the vat body directly with 24 tapped holes with no second ring or even space for one, milled channel being only 4mm deep with a 3mm ring taking up most of the space.

Does anybody else have deviations from the standard mk 1 design? Interested to see what else is out there

Studies on UV LEDs.

LCD printers use Ultra Violet-UV LEDs.
The power, shape and number of UV LEDs greatly affect the performance of the printer.

LED power: Photon 25W, Photon-S 38W, EPAX 40W, D7 30W, Phrozen 50W. D8 is unknown. Stronger LED power makes printing faster. Instead, it shortens the life of the LCD screen.

LED shapes: Photon, D7, EPAX have a centered LED and reflective cup. Photon-S, D8 and Phrozen have LEDs arranged in a grid pattern. It is generally known that the LED Array method has better performance.

Number of LEDs: 16 Photon, 28 Photon-S, 30 D7, 49 D8, and 24 Phrozen.

However, when I compared EPAX-X1 with other printers, I noticed that the colors of the LEDs were different. Unlike other printers that have a purple UV light color, the EPAX-X1 is almost blue in color.

Does anyone know the reason?

Having a hard time getting a print of this. Siraya Blu, 12/40 as per the test sheet results. Auto Heavy supports with many additional added. Keeps sticking to the fep as a flat glob. Any thoughts? Cheers!

hey guys, have a question that I can't find an easy answer to on google: (perhaps I am not typing the right query). I used an iphone app, Capture for the scan below (now an STL in meshlab) ~ but I can't find any resource to 'thicken the backside' so that I can print this on my photon. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Weird, first FEP malfunction. Thick is pretty cheap stuff so I suspect it may be shit.

It seems to have puckered from the heat.
