Makers,

I just recieved a batch of new resins since I was fed up with my Monocure Rapid Clear I just could not get to work...

Can anybody point me to a good "Benchy'esque" model for the Photon? To etermine whether the settings are on spot before I start a 7 hr print just to fail?

Looking for advice, have never tried flexible resin before always wanted to try it with my filament printer but never had any joy ended up wasting 2 lots of different filament before deciding I couldn’t get it to work with my Bowden setup. So really want to try resin but abut frightened I’m going to have the same frustrations and wasted money.
Everyone seems to be using the monocure flex100 so much so it looks to be out of stock everywhere in the uk for at least a couple of weeks, has any tried https://www.3djake.uk/druckwege/type-d-flex they only do it in litre bottles but will work out slightly cheaper if it’s ok?
What do you think ?

So ah. What’s a data read error on the photon? Does that mean the apparently crap USB needs replacing? What do I replace it with? Is there s max size the photon can take? Is there any special formatting the USB needs?

Further adventures in Photon chainmail. Episode two of many...

After the success of my 5-way and 3-way mail patterns, I re-visited my 6-way pattern to make it a bit tougher. I've remodelled it to have rings that are (I think) about 1.3mm cross section, so they're quite a lot more robust - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3460640

The main experiment I did today was in knitting together multiple swatches to see whether making a bracelet (or even something larger) from multiple swatches is feasible.

I printed and fully post-processed the first swatch. I printed and washed the second one, but did the joining before I cured it. I went through with a set of side-cutters and nipped the 15 rings down the side of the soft swatch. I knitted them together, which wasn't too bad with a pair of tweezers, then I painted a dot of resin on each of the cuts and zapped them with my UV torch to re-join them. All in all, I think this is a 85% successful effort. Of the 15 rings I needed to cut and re-join, 12 survived the experience. One snapped when I was trying to knit it, and two snapped after they got glued to their neighbours with the resin.

Next step I think will be to print the splits into those rings as an 0.3mm gap or therabouts. Basically large enough I don't need to bend the rings as much, but small enough that the resin's surface tension will let it take up the gap.

I just got my Photon in today. I just unboxed and plugged it up, and the power supply is bad. Is there a cheap/new replacement power supply? Or just return the whole thing? Bought it from Amazon.

i saw several in case heater setups posted, is there any tutorials posted online of making one of those or is it just a "figure it out!" scenario? I could figure it out but would take longer if it already been sorted out
