Is 99% IPA clearly better than 91% in actual use?

91% is $11 a gallon and 99% is $18 a gallon in US.

Just how much UV light do the orange windows block? If my printer is five feet from a window, will the ambient light ruin the resin if I leave the resin in the tray? I did make a tray-cover but wondering about when it is printing.

Would be nice if there was a cover that fit over the printer when not in use.

A quick question for the group. What are people using to clean and help remove the excess resin after a print is done. My prints feel really tacky and want to make support removal easier and want be able to prime and paint these. A uv light chamber? Some kind of special bath or solution to clean them?

Ok I am brand new to this printer. Unboxed it, took out all the packing and removed the film on the windows and went through the leveling process. The paper has resistance pulling out but can’t be pushed forward. LCD screen is clean, vat is clean. Build surface feels and looks level. Vat is installed and screwed down and using the screws at the base I made sure the machine is level front to back and left to right.

Now with all this done why am I so nervous to pour the resin in the vat and do a test print? Anything else I should check?

Still printing......had to print some small difficult (for me) parts......experimented with the supports (0.1 and 0.2 mm) and position not all came out OK….some of them got 2D’ed to the FEP…..don’t worry I’m not going to ask why ? .....but these are not too shabby......I'm still have to find the limitations of this printer.....every time I throw something at it, it delivers ? (these are the mast of a sub, radar, periscope and some other stuff).
