Hello all I'm new to this group and new to resin printing I have been filament printing for a couple of years and I am one of the very first people in the United States two non professionally use 3D software back in the 80s. I added a drop of black dye pigments in the Monocure Rapid Gunmetal, the black metallic color is just awesome, done with ChiTubox.

NEED HELP ASAP

what could be causing this? two prints stopped in exactly the same place, then past that point it seems to light up the entire lcd screen and puts this horrible layer of resin on the bottom of the FEP, plates leveled properly as obviously it prints up to this point just fine any advice ?

Hi guys, still really new to 3D printing just got my first machine etc... last week. Does anyone have any good recommendations or websites or videos that teaches about where to manually add supports and what type of supports to add?

I’m using Chitubox currently

What I’m noticing is that my prints are breaking away from the auto supports during the print and getting bottom vat deformed.

I don’t know where to add supports and if I should be adding light medium or heavy and what ratios for the supports.

I’m mostly just printing dnd minis.

Just musing here, but do you think placing a silicone mold on top of a sonic cleaner that is on (on the lid) while pouring resin into a silicone mold, would help eliminate small bubbles in the resin while it settles? Or, maybe even st INSIDE the empty sonic cleaner?

Like I said, just musing here...

Has anyone mixed Anycubic resin and Monocure Rapid together? It's looking like I might just run out of resin on a larger print and neither bottle has enough that it will clearly last for the whole print. Just wondering if I should wait to get more resin or can they be mixed

Edit: Ignore my question, just enjoy the pictures. There is no scaling issue between softwares.....

I've printed his head and body at 60% scale in the original photon software. Then I printed the base for it on my cr10s fdm printer at 60% scale. The base is smaller than the bottom of his body ?

Kind of disappointed that it's not identical scaling. Anyone know a trick?

I dont fancy having to measure everything to scale it correctly because it will always be slightly off if it have printed something with tight tolerances
