First print was a success although I was wondering if you all had any insight as to what may be the cause of the layer lines. They’re not tactile - only visual.

Finally got my Photon in, from all the talk I've been worrying about how putrid the resin is going to smell and how I'm going to have to deal with the wife. Can't believe the resin smells exactly like an MRE heater, now all I am is hungry!

So I have been using the new ChiTu slicer.
There is plenty of good things - and some bad things!

bad thing: Always on internet connection BS! Seriously! Are you guys nicking my models or something!!!

good thing: more features, better support for internal supports, faster slicing, less artifacts to clean up after slicing

not sure about it thing: Supports are very different from the old slicer; by default they have less penetration - on one hand it makes cleaning the model from the marks much easier but I do get much higher rate of failed supports now.
Also in terms of the strenght - the new mid supports are kind of like the old light ones, light ones are super light and heavy are like the old mid ones.

I find myself doing much more heavy supports now and then working on smaller details with mid/light ones.

What is your guys opinion?

Quick question, I'm planning a fairly large print; using a raft with the supports takes up almost the whole build plate, should I not do the raft or is it ok? Very new to resin printing, pretty good at FDM, though this is one of those concepts that doesn't carry over very well.

Hello guys. Today I started new print attempts. First, I updated the firmware as indicated. I also checked if the fep film was properly tensioned. I checked the uv and it's ok. I consulted the group's GitHub about the possible issues and then re-set the Bottom Exposure Time to 100 and Bottom Layers to 6 and Offtime to 2. From the last attempt, I got this result from the photo with the test cube.

Got my Photon about a week ago. At first I couldn't get a print. After the first layer burn the machine would just shut off and re-set. I found the 3 ball screws were loose. Once I got it to stay level it has worked for the first bottle of green resin. Now I switched to grey and keep getting the same thing. Machine burns the first layer then shuts off/ re-sets. The resin is stuck to the plate. Once it turns back on it pulls right off the FEP with no problems. So it isn't stuck to that. In all my machine has done this about 40 times. Sometimes it will re-set 3-4 times and then print the rest of the file with no problem. What should I look for first? Thanks.
