Okay, so I have just replaced the main board after having a fault and getting in touch with AnyCubic support. However, now it appears that nothing is working.

The touchscreen comes on and menus appear etc. However, the exposure test does not work, the z axis will not move, no fans start when I turn the printer on.

I have re-checked all of the cables have been plugged back in the right spots etc, but not joy.

There's also a couple of red lights showing on the main board, which I don't know if they are normal or not.

Any ideas?

Question about cleanup - I am not willing to put IPA in an ultrasonic cleaner, but would it be effective if I washed in IPA for a few minutes and then did a few minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner filled with de-ionised water?

Any other clean up tips? Seems to be where I struggle the most atm.

A few times now I have come back to a print that says it has finished, but the Z axis has stopped moving up mid print. What could cause this?

The z axis moves fine when I lift it back up afterwards. Not using the original USB, so don't think it's file corruption. Any ideas?

Having a very weird problem. I have just started a fresh batch of Elegoo grey and it's printing fine. I have used Elegoo grey before and had no problems. However, it just won't post cure at all, and remains sticky even after days in the curing chamber.

My curing chamber hasn't changed, UV lights haven't changed, never had any issues before. The lights emit 400-405 nm.

I have changed my IPA out for fresh and also emptied the resin out, cleaned the vat and added fresh resin. Still my prints won't post cure properly.

Previous batch of resin was Elegoo Black and I had no problems. As I said, I have also used Grey with no problems.

Any ideas?

Making a new curing station - will this work for UV lighting? Using a square cupboard and wanting to avoid soldering wires to light strips if I can.

How do you guys dispose of gloves & paper towels that are resin contaminated? I've just been throwing all of mine in to a plastic container and now it's full I don't know what do with it! I know you're not supposed to throw it out normally if it's resin contaminated. Do you cure it first? If so, how?

How do you guys measure the vat level before you start a long print? Never sure how much resin is I'm the vat and not sure on the best way to guesstimate it.

Do I need to coat my prints in anything to stop any further curing in daylight? I'm printing miniatures and I usually have a big back log to paint. Not sure if I should be keeping them away from light until they are painted?

So I've learned my first lesson with the photon.. the prints are very brittle. Just finished printing the test cube and it was very well stuck to the build plate. Managed to snap the cube off of the base trying to force it off.

I guess at least it means my bed is level!

Hi all. The Photon is currently on an Amazon Lightning deal for £322 versus £450 for the Photon S, which has never had any deals. Is it better value to get the Photon at the sale price instead of the Photon S at original price?
