Build “arm” is hitting the vat. Although I don’t experience any failed prints I’m worried that the z axis might bend over time because I can clearly see it forcing the build plate down and getting titled slightly.

Is tis normal?

Hi guys. This might be a bit off topic but I’d like to hear your thoughts.

I was thinking of getting another printer; it was either the Photon S or the Epax X1. I finally decided on the Epax.

For some reason the Epax won’t ship to my country (Malaysia) so I tried going through Amazon. After about two weeks I received the following notice (refer picture).

So I’m asking, if anyone has any experience with Amazon regarding this sort of thing, why something like this happens.

And should I just forget the Epax and get a Photon S. Which ships just fine to where I am.

First test print on my Photon failed when I tried to pause the print and add resin. Next 3 prints were pretty good. Learning about supports and keeping subjects away from the edge. My N-scale vans went well but I messed up the supports. So far so good!

My Photon just started acting odd. It had three failed prints. The last one left nothing on the plate or in the vat. It also just flunked the exposure test with a week purple with two black bars across it. Is this a known issue or anything?

So would this be a 4? Eelegoo grey running the 40miron B100 2-20 test. It still feels a bit tacky after rinsing with IPA, gently wiping, and 20 minutes under a 405nm UV light.

Well this is a new one. Just changed my fep and it makes a strange noise now when it peals and pops between layers. Sounds like peeling protective plastic off and then you hear the classic layer pop sound.

I've been printing for 7 months, this is my third fep ive changed, same Anycubic brand fep as before and yes I'm not an idiot and I remove the protective coverings on both sides and it's currently tuned to 302hz.

So far it seems to be good, I paused and there's nothing stuck on the fep and everything is still on the plate and looking good. I've just never heard it make this specific noise before.

I know all about the poping noise and I still hear that, it just that sticker sound that's new just before the pop. And I've definitely printed things with a heck of a lot more surface area so I don't think it's that.

Thoughts?
