Hi guys, wanted to share my current model that i have release for my Patreons :) its a monster hunter Diorama and its going to be the biggest thing ive printed on my photon :P ive had to chop it up into a lot of parts to fit the printbed but its coming together and i had to share with you guys. hope you like :) will add some updates once i get more printed, think i need more than 1 printer :P ill add a link in the comments to my patreon if anyone would like this model, its only for November Pateons though as December will get a different model :)

So, for the non technical people who are not smart enough to build a heater themselves, is this not a good solution?

It’s one of those car heater window defrost things for $10 on Ali. Does anyone see a serious downside here?

Please be aware that by ordering with AnyCubic directly, you are going to struggle to resolve any issues. I have waited almost 1 month for a refund on a printer that was rejected at delivery as instructed by AnyCubic. They refuse to tell me when I will get my refund, I have had to now dispute the issue with my credit company.

I had to place a second order for the printer that I did want Photon S, which didn't work when it arrived, it took a week for them to accept that it was faulty (after many emails) and they agreed to exchange it. After sending it back, they have still not sent a replacement after many requests.

I wouldn't order from them again, but if you do, I would suggest using Amazon, as they will at least help resolve any issues.

Would a carbon filter attached to the exhaust port of the OG photon make it safe enough to be placed in my home? I currently have it out in my garage but it is expensive to have the garage heated all the time for the printer.

Hey everyone,

I know that this has probably been addressed multiple times in the past however I have gone through a ton of posts and have not found too many solutions.

As a recent development, my Photon has started curing a fairly thick sheet of resin in various places across my FEP.

This is not the first layer sticking to the FEP but rather excess resin curing around the models while they are being masked off.

These images were after a print (which succeeded). The parts were orientated around the corners of the bed so that I could see if I get this cured piece of resin in the middle of the FEP again - which I have.

For reference, my Photon is about 2 years old now.

This happens regardless of whichever well-shaken resin I am using.

Like I said, this is a recent development for the printer and I ma not entirely sure what is happening however I have a feeling that the LCD could be failing. Would this be a sign of this?

I used a sheet of paper to check for any light bleed and there doesn't seem to be any but I will rely on the those of you more skilled on this to let me know.

Some prints are coming out alright but others not because resin is getting stuck to this cured piece and causing failures.

I've read contradictory things about IPA and curing, i'm pretty sure that's not good to bath resin in IPA for 30h, but what's the limit? I often let my miniatures for 60-120 minutes (because i'm working with kids and don't want to take risks) in their bath, or in UV lamp, should i let them in a dark place and clean/cure later?

My question: do you use the original firmware and *.photons file format or the newest version with anti aliasing and *.pws format?

ps. my photon s came with faulty flash drive and missing vat screw ?

Hello again!
I finally got around to doing exposure tests for my new Dragon Resin White UV resin! Ive only ever used Anycubic Green, so this opaque white is very different.

First photo I did Slow Resin Test using 'resin-test-25u.B150.6-60.photon'

Second photo:
'resin-test-25u.B150.10-100.photon'

Although after curing for 30 minutes in my UV light they both were still sticky? Does this mean it isn't curing?
I'm not sure how to really understand these samples. Which ones look the best to you?
