Hi! It's my first time to buy any 3D printer. My Anycubic Photon S will arrive in 10 days accdg to Aliexpress. Any tips on setting it up? I plan to print, mostly on printing art toys.

1. Best software to use? Minimum spec for the laptop? I have a 2011 Macbook Air and an Acer Swift 1.
2. Any DOs and DON'Ts
3. Things to do to prepare my house for the printer? I heard the smell is really bad, and I have 2 kids at home (3yo and 1yo).
4. What's the basic set up to get good quality prints so I can directly paint? Should I still use a primer and do some wet sanding?

Hey experts, what could have been the reason for this interrupted print? I use Eleggo Grey and settings shown in the picture.

It stopped at 71%.

Also there are these very thin flaps on the side of the print. What could be the cause for these?

One possible cause for the fault, as i grabbed the settings screen, i saw that i had some infill set for this print. Don't know why. But i think i tested a file before how a model with infill will be sliced. So infill wasn't set for purpose.

Also how can i test reliably my FEP if it is still closed? After removing my yat after the print i realized that there was some little bit of cured resin on the lcd screen. I am sure, that i don't have spoilled any of the resin while i was filling the vat.

Waiting for my photon to be delivered, and I'm new to DLP after 5 years of FDM and shapeways.
Please, allow me one stupid question.
Is there a poly cap you peeps have observed?

Tend to model with the shapeways limit in mind, so I'm just looking to discover whether the photon will crap itself if I push up beyond that without a bunch of screwing about. 翻譯年糕

I've been having successful progress after leveling the printer on the desk, as well as the build plate. :)
BUT I do have one other concern:
I need some advice for venting fumes/smell!

I may just be being paranoid but my throat is awfully sore and red. It seems to get worse any time I'm back working with the Green Anycubic Resin for my printer. I wear a respiratory protection about 80-90% of the time, but I've gone in there to check without putting it on because I'm being lazy and now I'm a little worried that's indeed why my throat has been chronically sore, red and irritated. Anyone else?

This is for the Photon S owners :)
I really liked the Photonsters XP test, so I rearranged it to work with the R_E_R_F of Photon S printers.

Compared to the original R_E_R_F, This lets you tune exposure times using less resin (9ml) in a shorter time (~12min), and gives you an output which is easier to read and store.

(This resin is Creality Skin. it tuned in at 5.5s)
