My very first print with Photon! A tiny triceratops dino for my daughter. I used Anycubic Eco Plant based Macaron Blue resin, and cleaned with 97% Ethanol. Even the ultra-thin horns came out fine. It is still wet in ethanol on the photos - now drying on the balcony, as my UV lamp is not yet there. The 3D model is from Thingiverse, scaled to around 2 cm long.

Favorite resin for printing minis? (Bonus fake internet points for a Canadian source)

I keep seeing Elegoo Grey mentioned but it's around $20/L more than the blue which is what I've used so far. I'm curious if it is worth the extra $ or if there is another brand that is more affordable but still high quality.

Seeking some troubleshooting assistance. My prints are failing at the start of the supports. I have my FEP film seems tensioned correctly. I have tried setting the supports to heavy to see if that would help but the still seem to be breaking. When the printer is laying down the base onto the build plate i can hear that pop sound of the film releasing. Once it gets to the start of the supports that sound stops.

Suggestions on what may be the cause?

It may be worth noting that i have recently replaced the LCD screen but it seemsnto be working as it should. I have not changed any slicer settings.

A question about the “new version” Photon with the Photon S board (Fauxton). Will the exposure test still work on it? My friend wants to buy one but I have stressed that running the exposure test is the key to success.
