Iron Warriors reinforcements! Two more Havocs to paint up, another tactical, a captain and a praetor to print before the force is finished. Then it's on to Ultramarines!

Possibly dumb question. I just completed my first print. Should I remove supports before or after I cure it?

Question on resin — after I read about the minimum temperature, the different ventilation solutions etc. airing it for two days seems the way to go. Will it be save to do the airing at 15º C? yes, printing will be at 20º C +! Thanks!

Have any of you ever had problems with the FEP film sticking to the LCD? I noticed that I have to use quite a bit of force to take the VAT out as the FEP seems to adhere to the LCD screen. Not because of any resin... FEP and screen are clean. I have the feeling that there should be a small gap between FEP and screen, otherwise there will be suction forces coming into play preventing the FEP to lift. Should I put something under my VAT to lift it up from the screen?

Ok.. As I have mentioned in another post in this group, I have amassed a sizable collection of red monocure miniatures that are all begging to be painted.

My artistic skills are so bad that a stick man is not even recognizable.

I have looked at various you-tube videos on dry-brushing, wet brushing, this brushing that brushing etc...

I have an airbrush, and about 30 colors from Valejah paints. I have prime base coat paint too. Lots of brushes and even a set of adjustable lenses with a light to view these things up close while i make a mess of things :)

For those of you that can paint which seems to be everyone except me. What sources have inspired you or have taught you greatness in the world of miniature painting.

I am ready to go!

Photonsters PTC Heater Unit Safety problem. So in the Nutshell, I ordered the 150W heater and other required parts to build the Heater unit. My Fan was wired backwards (as received, Black Fan wire on mine is actually the positive lead) which revealed a potential serious fire hazard. Since my fan was not spinning, the heater unit within 30 seconds heated up to the point of the smell of burning plastic (I quickly unplugged it and reversed the Fan's wires and the fan operated normally). As currently designed, it would appear that a failure of the Fan to spin (no airflow) will cause the heater block to quickly overheat. How hot??? I don't know, but this could be a big fire hazard? I personally will be incorporating a thermal fuse into my heater block to correct this oversight in design. The thermal fuse will of course blow if the Heater blocks Temperature nears something just under 200F/104C as ABS nears it's glass transition temperature near 221F/93C. Has this Heater block thermal runaway issue been covered before???
