I'm having repeated errors when trying to print objects on my Photon. It's happening with pretty much everything I try to print. It ends up as a smudge on the print platform and on the bottom of the resin vat. Any help would be mucho appreciated

hello all! thanks to accept me in the group
i'm a proud newly owner (for one month) of photon S, also owning a davinci 1.0 AIO and a dead liquid crystal sla.
i had a lot of fun with the davinci... until... well... the photon. i have to admit i'm totally stunned by the print quality of my new toy !!!

Well worth a look & may be of interest to some this is where I was first introduced to the Photon. I used the discount link to but direct with no issues. Myfordboy new to resin printing he uses them to produce patterns for sand casting etc. he is an outstanding model engineer who has many hands on aproach skills. He will find a cheap & efficient way to solve anything.

Got a weird “plane” running through the entire print. There were other strange extrusions that can’t be seen on the video. Any ideas?

Placed some kapton over the borders of the screen to prevent the resin to enter there and the screen comes with the vat when i remove it.

Is this a good idea?

EDIT:

Did a test print without releveling and came out fine! So i guess it will stay like that ^^ Thanks to everybody!

Little accident with a loooot of resin on the right spots ?
Homeing is not working and photon only moving upwards.

Any ideas?!

EDIT: Problem found!
The z endstop sensor was clogged with resin and was not switching. The resin and alcohol killed the small case (brittle)

Will construct and print a new sensor case and it will work again!! ?

Attempt #2 now I'm going to try to keep it in one piece.... ?

Edit:
This is my first print washed with Mr. Clean/ Mr. Proper in the Ultrasonic Cleaner.
After the Ultrasonic I did a quick wash with H2O, and dried with a blowdryer.

It works very well! And no IPA fumes!
