New random problem - when we push the home button, the build plate goes UP a few centimeters and the machine beeps. Tried resetting to factory defaults and it still happens. Ideas please? thanks!

For us Brits summer is all but over and Winter is Coming which as a recent convert to Siraya Tech Blue leads me to think about how to keep a cold old shed / printer at 25C or above during those cold wet snowy months. We have the awesome Vinicius / Robert Silvers 12v heater but it interferes with the dual rail mod which I do not have (or need) but kind of want just because. So other options..... I like the idea of using large resistors as heaters for inside the case because they are small and effective. I also like the idea of simply using a thick insulation board to make an enclosure for the printers. I've used a lot of Celotex board at work to create enclosures for temperatures of -70C up to +150C with huge heaters and liquid nitrogen but I have also used a traditional lightbulb to keep the air at a constant 25C. If going the small enclosure route then there are even plug in ceramic mini heaters good to +32C that would have no problem with an enclosure of say 4 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet. The one I am thinking of doesn't need a separate PSU or temperature controller as it is all built in for a mere £20. Right now I'm trying out some Celotex offcuts with way too many offcuts and a 25watt lightbulb as an experiment but I am considering an infrared lightbulb (for reptiles) instead. It gets hot and is the far end of the light spectrum so little chance of curing the resin. So I guess to enclose or not to enclose? I also want to cure the Blu at 60C but as I'm likely to do that under water I might just heat the water.

So for anyone contemplating the Photon, this is my fourth print from the Photon.....ever! My first was to ensure I had it set up right, and stopped 5 minute in, and the next two had support (placement) failures. I am experienced with the Prusa Mk3 (amazing printer), but I picked up painting minis in the past month as a hobby, and needed a better printer for the purpose. I watched a bunch of videos on supports from 3DPrintingPro, did the exposure test, and here I am, 4th print.

Now, before anyone cracks on my painting skills, I’m trying to get my coordination back after I suffered a traumatic brain injury and brain bleed. My fine motor skill is shot. ?

All I came here to say is that if you do your homework on this thing before jumping in, it’s truly a breeze. I’ve had a lemon FDM printer before and understand if anyone is going through that with their Photon, but man, mine is a keeper.

Very scaled down Forest Dragon from 3D Printed Tabletop's dragon Kickstarter. I printed it in Anycubic ECO Orange, then primed and roughly drybrushed so that the details would photograph better.

Hi guys !

Anyone using anycubic skin resin ? Can you share your settings for fine detail ?
At the moment I’m getting a pretty nice finish but still can see lines building up, very small tho but I have seen some stuff here very very smooth . I found my bottom exposure being 70sec with 9 layers but the normal exposure at the moment is 10sec but I’m getting some
Fine detail covered, like 0.5mm holes being covered up with cured resin .
