A little bit disappointed in Anycubic right now. I ordered a 1L bottle of grey Anycubic resin from their official site on Aug 29th, 5 days later(yesterday) and I still didn't received any shipping info or any updates so I sent an email to them to ask for any updates, no replies. Today I messaged Amy Liao for some help so she can check my order to see what's going on and she told me that grey resin is out of stock so I asked her if they can just send me other color that's in stock right now instead. NOW I just received a reply from Anycubic at 5:24PM that they're restocking their warehouse due to low stock etc. so I asked them the same thing as I asked Amy. I'm not mad at the fact that they're slow because they're restocking(because obviously it's not that they can just speed up processing time) but it's the fact that I have to contact someone myself to get any information on my order or get any replies. It said on the website that it'll take 3-5 days to arrive in Bangkok but apparently it's going to be a bit longer than that ??‍♂️ it's not like I have to print out a couple prototypes for my customer or anything.... lol

Printed a tiny horn for a diesel railcar I'm producing with Elegoo Grey (0.5mm), but the pin that holds it on the roof would have been too fragile. So printed a hole row of horns and had them cast in brass. They came out super smooth, even without sanding (they would have been too fragile for that, anyway). I am very pleased with the result.

Model itself is etched panels with printed parts (among others).

Apologies if this has been asked before but I could do with some advice on whether to purchase a Photon or not. I'm a digital sculptor and I'm working on a project creating a range of 9 80mm monster miniatures. I've worked with a miniatures production company in the past who have handled the 3D printing and casting of the minis but for a long time I've wanted to handle the printing in house. This would save me a lot of money, I'm looking at around £1500-2000 in printing costs to get them done externally. Owning a resin printer would also allow me to experiment with design and iterate rather than an expensive one-shot, outsourcing the printing.

My main concerns are my lack of appropriate work space, health implications of resin, resin smell and the mess involved with resin printing. My studio space is a 2.5mX3m room and right across the corridor from our bedroom. It does have a window that I would set up a carbon filter from the printer and vent out of. I'd also be looking at using something like the Esun bio resin, which may be less toxic?

I have 3 FDM printers, have been printing for around 3 years and I like to tinker with stuff. I'm worried that my desire to own a resin printer and have more control over this part of the process is outweighing the practicality of running one in a small space, in a family home. Opinions please.

*Edit* I just want to say a big thanks to everyone who commented yesterday. I ended up getting an Elgoo Mars, a small amount of stock suddenly appeared on Amazon UK at £240 and it was just too good a price to pass on so I took the plunge, hope I made a good choice!

I have a part that i'm trying to print, and its giving me grief. It has detail on all sides, and no matter what orientation i print it, i seem to end up with either muddy detail underneath, or warped straight faces/edges. Regardless of how many supports i use.
The pic isnt how i print, its just for reference so you can see the shape, and possible print options.
Suggestions?

Small mystery for you guys. Started print, went to bed. Next day: empty bed, full vat without cured resin. Checked lcd and get full display, not a rectangle. So i wanted to see what happens during a print, removed Vat and build plate and started 2 different files that worked before. when the lcd was active it was always the full display. Sooo why wasnt there any dried resin in the vat after the last print?
